Sensitive Girl

Haddee touches my heart daily. She is so smart, sweet, and sensitive. Here are 2 stories from this week.
Tuesday evening she asked to watch a movie and I told her no. Then she asked Scott and he said no. She asked us about 3 more times. We just kept telling her no but didn't discipline her or say anything to make her think she did something wrong. She didn't put up much of a fit and we went on. About an hour later when Scott was putting her to bed she said, "Daddy, I'm sorry." When he asked her for what she said, "Because I kept asking to watch that movie." We were blown away. How can she already understand that what she was doing wasn't right? And to have it on her mind and apologize for it? Unbelievable! Scott said he just wanted to wrap her in his arms and not let go.

Haddee does not like to be alone. She LOVES people. When I put her down for naps or bed when Scott is gone she always tells me, "Mommy, I don't want to be alone." It tears at my heart. I try to tell her that she is never alone and give her all kinds of reasons why. One thing I tell her is that Jesus is always with her.
She is such a good big sister and loves Eva so much. She is always trying to look out for her. This morning they were playing downstairs while I was sweeping the kitchen. Haddee came to the stairs and asked if she could come upstairs. I told her sure. Then she looked back at Eva (who could play by herself in an empty house all day and not care) and seemed pretty concerned. Then she looks up at me and says, "Mommy, Eva won't be alone because Jesus is with her." It brought tears to my eyes.

At night she prays for whoever is on her mind. It is different every day. Sometimes relatives, sometimes friends, and sometimes people she met only once months ago. It amazes me how I can see God at work in her life already. And she is only 2!!!!
