My adorable Eva Rose

So I realized I didn't post a video like I said I would with Eva moving around. Here are a couple short videos of her. I can't express how much I enjoy this little girl. I adore Haddee but she was not a good baby. I had no idea how much fun it could be until Eva. She is happy, fun, sweet, cuddly, cute, rarely fusses, sleeps great, eats good. I could keep her 6 months forever.

Vacation

So the battery on our camera died one picture and one video into vacation. It isn't even a good picture, but it is the only one. Sorry. I was bummed because it is a pretty cool place. We had a great time. We were going to go to Ft. Wayne and then last minute decided to go to (I'm a little embarrassed to say it) Shipshewana and stay at Splash Universe. It was fun though. It took Haddee a while to warm up to the water park. First time she was scared and held my hand the whole time. She kept talking about the bucket that would dump and get everybody wet. She hated that part. By the last time we went she had made some little friends -which were a little older than her - and was having a great time mothering them around. Her highlights of vacation if asked are eating popcorn and ice cream. Eva did great. She slept well and enjoyed the water. She is happy no matter what. We went out for pizza one night and we put her in her carseat with a blanket over it and she just fell asleep. Good little girl. She could stay 6 months forever as far as I am concerned. She's so sweet. Scott and I had fun too. This could get us turned over to CPS I am sure, but we actually left the room when they were sleeping and went and played some arcade games and sat in the hot tub. It was really fun to have some alone time. We were only gone 2 nights but it was great. Then we got home Saturday and were back at it as it was our turn to baby sit for date night with a group we are part of. We had 7 kids all age 2 and under. I do recommend Splash Universe to anyone with kids! The suites are really nice and they have specials if you are flexible of when you can go. Thanks for reading and we love you guys!

Why Mommy???

This is the question I hear about 20 times a day. There was no warning. I have always seen kids go through this stage but had no idea Haddee was about to start. It has been about a week now that every time I say no to her she says, "Why Mommy?" But not once. Example from this morning:

- Can I have fruit snacks Mommy?

- No, not now.

- Why Mommy?

- Because it is breakfast time and we don't eat fruit snacks for breakfast.

- Why?

And on and on it goes. What a fun stage. For you experienced moms our there - how long does this last? :-)

We are getting away for a couple days as a family. I am SO EXCITED! So expect some pics of our vacation (we are going to a hotel like 20 minutes away) when we get back.

On The Move

Eva is more mobile at 5 months than Haddee was at 12. This little girl doesn't know what it means to hold still. I still can't figure out if she can sit by herself or not because as soon as I set her down she lunges forward and scoots to whatever she can see. She is a determined little girl. You can see when her eyes fall on something she wants and there is nothing that can stop her from getting to it. She can even climb over me if I am laying in her way. She loves to laugh at her sister. One of my favorite times of the day is about 4:30 when I start making supper I put Eva in the high chair and Haddee pushes the high chair around the kitchen and plays with her. They have a great time. Hard to believe our little baby is almost 6 months old. She is such a joy!

Funny Haddee quotes: This last weekend we were on a youth retreat at a campground. I took Haddee to the restroom and she went pee on the potty then without flushing it I sat down to pee as well. She says, "Mommy, don't pee on my pee!" I laughed and and she said it again, "Don't pee on my pee!" Also, during the day when I ask her if she wants to do something like "Haddee, you want to color?" She'll say "That'd be fun." It makes me smile every time. She is a trip!
